We're done waiting
for better software.
Codernate builds focused tools for people who care. No bloat, no dark patterns, no filler — just software that does exactly what it says.
Two products in development: PennyWatch + Verity Interviews
Two products. One standard.
We build software we'd use ourselves — and we hold it to a simple test: does it earn the user's trust?
PennyWatch
Your money, finally honest with you.
Most finance apps make money from your confusion — upsells, data sales, dark nudges. PennyWatch doesn't. See where every dollar goes in a single glance. No ads, no upgrades, no hidden agenda. Just clear, honest answers to one question: where is my money going?

Verity Interviews
Hire for what actually matters.
First impressions and gut feelings make expensive hiring mistakes. Verity gives your team a structured framework — proven question templates, live scoring, and side-by-side candidate comparison. Ask better questions. Capture real signals. Make decisions you can stand behind.

“The software we needed didn't exist. So we're building it.”
We've spent years frustrated by finance apps that sell your data, hiring tools that make bias easier, and productivity software that's more feature catalogue than actual product.
We kept saying “someone should fix this.” Eventually we realised that someone should be us.
Codernate doesn't do client work or bespoke builds. We build our own products, own them fully, and ship them to real users. Every decision starts with the same question: does this actually make the product better for the people using it?
Not better for our metrics. Not better for our retention tricks. Better for the person on the other side of the screen.
No dark patterns
We don't profit from confusion.
No feature bloat
Focused tools that do one thing well.
No filler copy
We say what we mean, simply.
Earn trust first
Revenue follows, it doesn't lead.
We're building in public.
Here's why that matters to us.
We don't have customers yet. We don't have testimonials, case studies, or a track record you can look up. What we have is conviction — that the products we're building deserve to exist, and that the people who need them are out there right now using something worse.
PennyWatch exists because every personal finance app we tried either felt like a dark pattern delivery vehicle or charged us for the privilege of being overwhelmed. Verity exists because we've sat through enough unstructured, gut-feel interviews to know they produce bad outcomes for everyone involved.
We're a small team. We're early. We're shipping carefully and deliberately. If you're frustrated by the same software we are — or if you're hiring and want to do it better — we'd genuinely love to hear from you.
